Announcing a new event: FAME Week Africa | The Planner

Reed Exhibitions Africa, in partnership with the Host City of Cape Town, has announced a new event: FAME Week Africa. The inaugural event will take place from 13-15 September 2021 as a hybrid event, bringing together creative industry professionals including the Film, Arts, Media and Entertainment sectors on the African continent.

This yearโ€™s event will take place as a hybrid trade show, combining live and streaming options across all three days. Attendees can expect a business-to-business conference programme and exhibition by day and captivating festivals by night.

The exhibition component will showcases new technologies and services from industry leaders in AV system integration and communications; live entertainment technology; television and broadcast; animation and film; studio and production, DJ and pro-audio equipment.

The night-time festivities will include events such as: live music, theatre performances, film screenings, and exclusive networking opportunities.

Comic Con Cape Town will also join the programme, with a one-day pop up event on 11 September 2021. Carla Massmann, Comic Con Cape Town show director, explains, โ€œAfter having to postpone Comic Con show last year, weโ€™ve been navigating the landscape with caution and creativity. It makes complete sense to work alongside FAME Week Africa. Weโ€™ll be bringing a taste of Comic Con to Cape Town and we couldnโ€™t be more excited.โ€

The event will end with the FAME Reel Talent Showcase, a red carpet gala extravaganza.
