Louise Nogueira Dracopoulos, owner of Oniro Studios, was contracted to conceptualize the look and feel of the beautiful interior spaces of the hotel. The result is a fusion of proudly South African elements with a subtle Art Deco feel, playing with light from the buildingβs huge windows, as well as layers and textures. Local artist were commissioned to bring her ideas to life, from furniture manufacturers, industrial designers and shopfitters to artists and ceramicists.
Louise adds, βNot only was it important that the aesthetics play a role in this 168-bedroom hotel but there is a synergy required where technology, sustainability and design meet to create an unforgettable guest experience, an authentic βhome-away-from-homeβ experience.β
