Named after the American celebrity chef and TV personality, Guy Fieri, Time Square has relaunched its restaurant as a family-friendly venue.
Tshwane-based eatery, Guy Fieri’s Kitchen & Bar, comes complete with a new easy-access entrance adjacent to the Magic Company Arcade that is separate from Sun International’s Time Square Casino gaming floor, making it ideal for the whole family.
Ruben Gooranah, Time Square General Manager, says that the addition of a new entrance means under-18s can now dine at Guy Fieri’s Kitchen & Bar. “Our mechanical bull is going to enthral a whole new age group – but we don’t advise that too many cookies & cream milkshakes are consumed beforehand.”
What’s on offer
Offering a warm atmosphere with bold American-Italian-inspired cuisine, the restaurant has overhauled its food and drinks menu that includes signature dishes by the celebrity chef, who is known for TV shows such as Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Guy’s Grocery Games, as well as those that are synonymous to the Time Square restaurant.
“Since opening four years ago, we have kept abreast with international food trends, so our new food and drinks menu seeks to share some of these with our regular guests,” comments Samantha Meyer, Guy Fieri Kitchen & Bar chef.
Diners can look forward to hearty, comfort food such as American ribs and fried chicken. The venue is also popular for its Big Bite Burgers, bacon, mac and cheese, and knuckle sandwiches. For lighter, shareable bites, Fieri’s Trash Can Nachos and its onion flower bomb and dragon chilli cheese fries are ideal.
