ANEW Hotels & Resorts, a South African hotel asset management company, has announced the acquisition of its 16th property, ANEW Resort White River Mbombela – formerly known as The Ingwenyama Resort.
CEO Clinton Armour says, “This is a remarkable property that we are very proud and excited to include in our ANEW family. We’re thrilled to work with the owners of the property and have an extensive ongoing refurbishment plan in place, one that has already commenced.”
Despite the pandemic, ANEW Hotels & Resorts has grown its portfolio from three properties in March 2020 to its current status of 16 properties – and soon to be 17.
ANEW Resort White River Mbombela is a tranquil conferencing and sports resort, with 149 stylish rooms and all modern amenities and conferencing facilities. Based in the Lowveld, it offers a prime strategic location close to the Kruger National Park.
Armour adds, “What really makes us excited about ANEW Resort White River, in addition to its close proximity to the Kruger National Park, are its incredible sporting facilities. From sports fields and swimming pools to a state-of-the-art high-performance centre and gym. ANEW Resort White River is a great location for sports teams and professionals looking for a training location with the benefits of medium-high altitude training. Lying at an altitude of 1 375m above sea level, the gym offers the latest sports and fitness equipment.”
Armour concludes, “We look forward to welcoming you to ANEW Resort White River soon and we’re very excited to be announcing a 17th property at this year’s Africa’s Travel Indaba in May.”
