As one of the global travel industry’s longest-running accolades, the Readers’ Choice Awards remain the ultimate symbol and acknowledgment of excellence within the travel sector. Moving up the ranks

Jacqui Elliot, CEO of The Liz McGrath Collection, says they are thrilled with The Plettenberg’s performance over the last year. Under the leadership of general manager Melissa Theron, it has moved up the rankings from 11th place in 2022, beating stiff competition from other prominent hotels in the region to take second place in 2023, in what is known as one of the world’s most prestigious awards programmes.

The Plettenberg has direct beach access and showcases the most breathtaking vistas on the Garden Route, with views of the ocean, mountains and endless stretches of golden sand. A proud member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, it features 35 beautifully appointed guest rooms, including 12 Suites and two spectacular Villas.

The 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards are published on CondΓ© Nast Traveler’s website and celebrated in the November issue.
