JW Marriott Masai Mara wins big at the AHEAD Awards | The Planner

At the recent AHEAD Awards, the JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge was named as one of the Top 100 New Hotels worldwide. This award recognises the hotel for its innovative design and promoting sustainable tourism.

In particular, the property was applauded for the way in which it blends the luxury offered to guests with the breath-taking backdrop of the Masai Mara. This allows guests the opportunity to experience one of the world’s most spectacular places while still enjoying all that theyโ€™ve come to expect from a stay in one of the JW Marriottโ€™s many, many hotels.

Says Barnabas Wamoto, General Manager of JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge:

“We are deeply honored to receive this recognition from the AHEAD Awards,”. “Our commitment to sustainability is at the heart of our operations. We strive to offer our guests a luxurious experience that is both environmentally responsible and culturally enriching.”

About the AHEAD Awards

AHEAD recognises excellence in hospitality experience and design. The awards are divided into four regions: Asia, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa (MEA), and Europe. Categories are varied and range from new hotel builds, hotel renovations, bars, restaurants and spas.

The awards take place in one of the major cities in each region. AHEAD Asia is hosted in Singapore, New York plays host to AHEAD Americas and Dubai hosts AHEAD MEA. Finally, AHEAD Europe takes place in London.

AHEAD is sponsored by Sleeper, which is the pre-eminent magazine for hospitality experience as well as design. It showcases innovation in hospitality from all over the world. The awards are powered by THP, which is a German research firm that covers hotel builds, hospitality events, media together with design. Global sponsors are well-known brands such as Kaldewei, Laufen, Villeroy and Bosch and Roca.
