The International Federation of Exhibition and Event Services (IFES) and the Asociación Mexicana de Profesionales de Ferias, Exposiciones y Convenciones (AMPROFEC) have formalised a new strategic partnership, marking a significant step towards greater industry collaboration and knowledge sharing. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed on 21st March at CONAM, reflects a shared commitment to fostering professional development, expanding international reach, and strengthening the global exhibitions sector.
Julio César Bojórquez Hernández, National President of AMPROFEC, and IFES Executive Director Gregor Bischkopf, officially signed the agreement, establishing a two-year cooperation that will see both organisations work closely to enhance industry expertise and increase visibility for their respective members.
Driving industry growth through collaboration
This partnership is built on the mutual vision of IFES and AMPROFEC to create opportunities for their members through knowledge exchange and international engagement. As IFES strengthens its presence in Latin America and AMPROFEC continues to position Mexico as a global events hub, this collaboration will unlock new avenues for professional development and business expansion.
A key element of the partnership is the ongoing exchange of expertise. IFES and AMPROFEC members will benefit from participation in each organisation’s relevant industry events, with AMPROFEC Members invited to the upcoming IFES World Summit in Guadalajara in June. Shared educational content and industry insights will ensure members remain at the cutting edge of best practices within the exhibition sector.
Increasing visibility and expanding networks
Raising international visibility is a cornerstone of this collaboration. IFES and AMPROFEC will actively promote each other’s initiatives, offering members greater exposure to new markets with the aim of fostering deeper global connections and expanding networks.
A unified commitment to industry advancement
Commenting on the partnership, Gregor Bischkopf said: “This agreement is a powerful testament to the strength of international collaboration. By uniting the expertise and networks of IFES and AMPROFEC, we are equipping our members with valuable insights and new opportunities in an ever-evolving industry.”
Julio César Bojórquez Hernández, President of AMPROFEC, echoed this sentiment: “Mexico is a key player in the global exhibitions sector, and this partnership with IFES represents an exciting step forward. Together, we can enhance industry knowledge, increase our members’ international reach, and drive innovation at a global scale.”
A future-focused approach
While the MoU establishes a framework for strategic collaboration, both organisations remain independent, with cooperation driven by shared goals and mutual benefit.
This agreement marks a new chapter for IFES and AMPROFEC, setting the stage for stronger industry engagement, enhanced networking, and a more connected global exhibitions community.
