At EuroShop 2026, octanorm showed how modern exhibition and retail construction must be conceived today: modular, digital and sustainable. Under the guiding principle “we believe in systems.” the company presented technological advancements, digital planning tools and sustainable solutions – positioning itself as both an innovation driver and a sustainability leader within the industry.
Redefining Light: octalux 40 and octalux 80
A key focus of the exhibition was the further development of the octalux illuminated extrusions family. With octalux 40, octanorm introduces a compact 40 mm version that delivers high light output within an exceptionally slim format. The extrusion is ideal for smaller exhibition stands, shop-in-shop concepts and retail environments where refined constructions are required.
“With octalux 40, we respond to the demand for maximum brightness within a minimal extrusion cross-section. In retail especially, flexibility and fast installation are essential – and that is exactly what this system was designed for,” explains Claudio Mazza, Product Manager at octanorm.
octalux 80 has also been consistently enhanced. New features include a three-sided illuminated extrusion that can also function as a structural finishing column within a stand design, Tunable White LEDs (2700–6500 K) to adapt different lighting moods, and an internal shelf holder for product presentation. The portfolio is complemented by the freestanding octalux frame (950 × 2500 mm), designed as a standalone illuminated element that showcases products with high visual impact. Delivered in reusable packaging, the frame can be assembled and dismantled quickly using plug-in connections. The electronics connect automatically via integrated pins during assembly.
LED Video Walls with Planning Reliability: octawall pro
With octawall pro, octanorm demonstrated how large-format LED video walls can be reliably integrated into stand concepts thanks to system construction planning – including certified structural analysis. For planners, agencies and exhibition builders, this means clear structural specifications, simplified approval processes and reduced coordination efforts. “Large-format video surfaces are now central architectural elements in many stand concepts. With certified structural solutions integrated into the system, we provide planners with maximum safety and efficiency,” explains Felix Christian, Head of Design and Engineering. Through its easy install kits, octanorm offers pre-configured exhibition stands in four different sizes. In addition, freestanding LED video walls are available with display areas of up to 4.5 × 2.5 meters.
New Stair Module for Greater Design Freedom: octamax
Within the double-deck segment, octanorm presented the further development of octamax. A new feature is a staircase module with an intermediate landing and angled staircase, combining comfort, safety and design. Glass balustrades create a clear architectural impression, while all wooden components comply with fire protection class B1 requirements.
Digital Planning – AI Meets System Construction: ai booth designer
With its online exhibition stand design tool, octanorm continues to drive digitalisation within the exhibition industry. The new Chat Editor of the ai booth designer enables dialog-based adjustments to generated designs – intuitive, visual and without requiring technical expertise. An integrated video function allows users to create short concept clips, making designs easier and faster to communicate. Business customers can automatically apply their own branding to visualisations. “We combine decades of system expertise with digital intelligence. Planning becomes faster, more transparent and more efficient – without compromising creative freedom,” explains Joachim Kopf, Head of Digital Innovation at octanorm.
Making Sustainability Measurable: co₂ calculator
At octanorm, sustainability is not an add-on but an integral part of the system philosophy. The modular aluminium extrusions are durable and reusable over many years. Profiles made from recycled secondary aluminium save up to 95 percent of energy compared to primary production.
With the digital co₂ calculator, octanorm makes sustainability measurable. The newly developed tool analyses material selection, construction and logistics based on a licensed database and calculates a project’s carbon footprint already during the planning phase – supported by AI. “Sustainability requires measurable data. With our co₂ calculator, we provide our customers with a reliable tool for making informed decisions right from the planning stage,” says Benjamin Bruder.
For its holistic approach, octanorm received the Gold Award from the sustainability initiative Better Stands at EuroShop, ranking among the most sustainable exhibitors at the show.
Globally Connected – Locally Implemented: ospi Network
With more than 100 partners in over 40 countries, the ospi network (octanorm service partner international) delivers projects worldwide. Local production reduces transportation distances and, according to company data, can lower CO₂ emissions by up to 65 percent compared to conventional logistics.
Combining Technology and Responsibility
At EuroShop 2026, octanorm demonstrated that technological progress and ecological responsibility are not mutually exclusive. Through modular system expansion, AI-supported planning and measurable sustainability, the company positions itself as a key driver in an industry undergoing fundamental transformation. Or, as Benjamin Bruder summarizes: “Our ambition is to develop systems that set technological benchmarks while taking responsibility at the same time. This combination defines future-proof exhibition construction.”
