Who is Trudie Broekmann?

Trudie is a commercial attorney with over twenty years’ experience. She established her firm, Trudie Broekmann Attorneys, during January 2013, specialising in commercial, corporate and consumer law. Prior to that, she successfully set up a commercial department at Gunstons. This was after stints at Webber Wentzel and Irvin & Johnson. She is an expert in new legislation, focusing on the Companies, Consumer Protection and Protection of Personal Information Acts.

Trudie has presented around 100 seminars on legal topics and is often quoted in the press on consumer law. She advised the DTI on setting up the National Consumer Commission and Companies and Intellectual Property Commission, assisted various municipalities and private sector clients ranging from multinationals to start-ups and NGOs.
