Derek Houston, the Africa Representative for IBTM World, reports that it is “all systems go” for IBTM World Barcelona from 01-03 December 2020.
He also reports that the IBTM Team are working on a number of new initiatives for buyers and exhibitors. These include:
IBTM Connect
IBTM Connect is an online library of resources to help everyone in the industry during the international COVID-19 lockdowns. It has a huge volume of content, ranging from webinars, on-demand videos, articles and other useful resources.

Houston adds, “We hosted our first webinar last week – ‘How to cope during times of unprecedented change’ – and we will host a weekly webinar with different keynote speakers covering a range of topics.”

Houston also encourages all meetings and conference planners to subscribe to the IBTM Events newsletter here.
“This ensures you will receive the invites and reminders for upcoming webinars and other content we’ll be sharing over the coming weeks and months,” he says.
“We would like to receive news on your destination, special projects you are doing during lockdown, new incentive offerings or your virtual programmes etc.”

He adds that this does not extend to sales material for venues or services.
