The International Finance Corporation (IFC), Department of Tourism, and Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA) and all its member associations collaborated to produce a survey to quantify the extent of the impact of COVID-19 on the tourism sector, as well as how effective the support has been, and what kind of help is still required.
1,610 respondents completed the first survey, and the report (April 2020) can be downloaded HERE.
1,501 respondents completed the second survey, and the report (July 2020) can be downloaded HERE.
A third surveys is planned to track the ongoing impact and progress.
The findings of all of the reports will be shared widely with key decision-makers in government, financial institutions and development partners, to help inform the effective design of policy and support to your business.
