The 2015 Event Industry Summit aims to unite event industry stakeholders and qualified corporate buyers and provide a platform for industry-related topics to be discussed by the leaders in the industry, ultimately growing the power of the event industry.
Delegates can expect many informative discussion panels with industry experts on a wide range of industry topics. There will be three sessions with each session having a brief scene-setter followed by a panel discussion lead by a seasoned facilitator.
PANEL 1 SPEAKER
Elmarie Delport was appointed as group and conference sales manager at Tsogo Sun in November 2009.
In total she brings 17 year experience to Tsogo Sun with intimate knowledge of the business events industry in South Africa. In her role she has developed a strategy to position Tsogo Sun as a leading accommodation and conference provider on the African continent.
Prior to joining Tsogo Sun, Elmarie was part of the Cape Town destination marketing team as a member of the Cape Town Convention Bureau, where she gained experience in developing and managing competitive, creative bids to win and position Cape Town as the number one conference destination on the African continent. Elmarie was also a board member of SAACI and Professional Secretaries
Association as well as an active member of Best Cities Global Alliance and Great Wine Capitals of the World.
Elmarie hails from the Western Cape and holds a degree in tourism marketing obtained from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
