Entries now open for EXSA Pallet Innovation Challenge 2015 | The Planner

EXSA logoThe Exhibition and Event Association of Southern Africa (EXSA) has announced that entries are now open for the Pallet Challenge, an original new way for members to exhibit their talent, creativity and innovation. This competition aims to showcase the design and innovative skills of EXSA members to relevant marketing and creative fields as the leaders of the industry through a fun and exciting spatial design challenge.

The challenge is for members to tell their brand’s story using their chosen pallet (and any other materials they desire) in a space measuring 2.5m in height and both 1m in width and length. Each pallet entry is charged at R2250 excluding VAT and there is no limit as to how many pallets a member can enter. Entries are open to any and all EXSA members across all three forums be they venues, organisers or suppliers.

There will be an event created around the judging of the pallets, the Pallet Challenge Event, with the purpose of showcasing the pallet exhibitions to a combination of industry peers and relevant target markets. Judging criteria includes innovation, quality relevance to your brand, relevance to your target audience and relevance to the chosen medium.

The event will take place on 28 October 2015 at The Sheds on Fox Street in Johannesburg with two separate viewing times. The first is a free session from 14:00 – 17:00. The second session, where the finalists will be announced, will have a cover charge of R50 and will be held from 18:00 onwards, with a cash bar and pop-up restaurants available to eat from.

Exhibits qualifying for the final judging will be announced at the end of the evening and re-exhibited at the EXSA awards, to be held on 25 November, where the winners will be announced.
