Gorgeous views, superb wines and a delicious summer-inspired menu. This is what you can expect when you next visit the Terra del Capo Antipasto Bar at the Anthonij Rupert Wyne estate in Franschhoek.

Great care has been taken to present guests with dishes bursting with all of the colours, flavours and textures of a summer in the winelands. Choose between a selection of hot or cold antipasti or a variety of platters – perfect for sharing.The hot selection includes crunchy zucchini fries with aioli; fresh mussels served in a creamy garlic and Pinot Grigio sauce; and prawn arancini (risotto balls stuffed with prawn and served with lemon aioli). Don’t miss out on the Italian meatballs filled with ricotta, oregano and smoked paprika, served with a marinara sauce.

 

Cold dishes include burrata (a homemade fresh Italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream), served with lemon, olive oil marinated fennel, mint and ciabatta crisps; and a refreshing strawberry Caprese salad with estate-grown strawberries. The Tuscan-style steak tartare shouldn’t be overlooked, nor the beetroot cured salmon with pickled red onion, capers and crème fraiche.Guests have the option of sitting inside, with a view of the cellar’s bottling line, or outside underneath the olive trees for a relaxed, al fresco dining experience.
