Celebrating female excellence across the industryMeetings magazine and The Planner website bring you a celebration of the leading Women in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) industry. The 2021 event will be the seventh annual Women in MICE celebration and we invite you to join with us in making it an even greater success.
The Women in MICE Awards
The Women in MICE Awards recognise the important role women play in the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions industry.
Conceived by 3S Media, and its MICE industry brands Meetings magazine and theplanner.guru, this initiative plays a vital role in providing a platform that motivates, inspires and supports women in the industry to achieve their personal and professional goals. It also connects women in the industry to leverage their reach and resources, creating a community of economically empowered women.
During the sixth annual Women in MICE celebration in 2019,Β the Women in MICE Mentorship and Development Initiative was launched to promote giving back to the industry. This will facilitate knowledge and skill sharing, to further advance the professional development of women in this industry.
2021 WiM Awards launch event
Following a challenging year that saw many events either cancelled or postponed, including 3S Mediaβs very own Women in MICE Awards, the launch of the 2021 Awards took place on 11 March 2021, with attendees live-streaming the virtually hosted event on GoToWebinar.
WiM mentorship
TheΒ Women in MICE 2021 Awards will continue to include a partnership with Queen Ramotsehoa from the Tsheto Leadership & Coaching Academy, an academy that uses an empowered and empowering approach to achieve high performance results. Queenβs expertise will ensure that the Awards mentorship programme is effective and delivers real benefits to the young women who are starting out in the industry.
WiM ambassador
In the words of Eleanor Roosevelt, βChoose a challenge instead of competenceβ.Β We need to break free from the limitations of the status quo, says Thami Nkadimeng.Β
A moderator, MC and facilitator, Thami is a message architect who creates impactful messages through conversation, non-verbal, written and visual communication. Thami is a communications strategist and MICE expert β and the embodiment of what the awards stand for.
