The Southern African Association for the Conference Industry (SAACI) National Conference 2012 brings together industry stakeholders to network and debate issues that affect the industry.

This is a unique opportunity for conference industry members and suppliers to the industry to expose their brands, products, services and venues to the Southern African conference community.

This year’s SAACI National Conference programme has an excellent line-up of speakers. Tourism Minister Marthinus van Schalkwyk will open the conference with a keynote address while Arnaldo Nardone, president of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), will give delegates an overview of the state of the global meetings industry.

Among the topics that will be addressed are future conference industry trends, service standardisation, Quick Response Codes, measuring the return on investment on events, and creating a competitive edge through alliances, service excellence and standardisation of services across the industry and social media.

What’s new: This year business matchmaking will be introduced enabling delegates to book meetings with other industry stakeholders.
