‘I Do’ Awards | The Planner

The well-attended I do awards event took place at the elegant and sophisticated SAX ARENA in Centurion on Friday, February 15.

Guests were treated to a red carpet walk -up before the lovely Malebo Gololo and Koketso Gaofetoge hosted the glamorous evening.

Dr Michael Mol was given a standing ovation for his key-note address which highlighted the importance of emotional intelligence in marriage, as well as the importance of recognizing each others strengths and focusing on building each other instead of focusing on your partners weaknesses.

Guests honoured the wedding theme which was wedding regalia, as they looked like they were attending a royal wedding.
R&B star Lloyd Cele gave a spectacular performance and a surprise anniversary massage to his wife Janice Cele followed by Dj Muzi Nkosi who serenaded the guests as they enjoyed the scrumptious three course buffet dinner .

The event attracted a lot of South African married celebrities like Mr Thabo (T-bose) Mokwele and his beautiful wife Mapaseka who won the surprise award for Most inspirational couple 2013. The highlight of the evening was when couples received their awards as well as the fashion show by Biji Couture and Shifting sands Couture. The guests who attended were so excited to have experienced the first instalment of the awards ceremony and they promised never to miss upcoming ones.

The categories and the couples who scooped the awards respectively were as follows:

Silver Award: Mr Thokozani and Mrs Bonolo Nkosi. The couple has been married for 4 years.
