Conversation conferences boosts real participation | The Planner

โ€˜Not another talk shopโ€™ is the plaintive cry of many an attendee who has had to endure hours of listening with no meaningful outcome from their specific perspective.ย  Itโ€™s time and money spent for all the questionable reasons of being there in the first place.ย ย  To attend in the hope of effective networking and/or meeting potential clients – ย Is a truly hit and miss exercise, as it is unlikely that a list of attendees or even a percentage of audience-type is available to all attendees or indeed presenters.

If meeting planning practitioners want to shine in the Chinese year of the horse, conferences of any type and description need to ensure greater attendee participation and take-back-to-the office value.

Conversation conferences are built on the assumption that people already have within themselves, the wisdom and creativity to confront even the most difficult business challenges. Given the appropriate contact and focus, it is possible to access and use this deeper knowledge about what is important in relation to the objectives for attending in the first place.

The Academy will be drafting an extensive article on conversation conferences for our media partnerโ€™s approval as well as ensuring that our CPD programme subscribers accumulate further credits while simultaneously discovering a new and powerful conference format technique.

The MICE industry can experience their first taste of Conversation Conferences by attending the Event Greening Forumโ€™s morning conference on Monday, 24 February at the Sandton Convention Centre during Meetings Africa.
