Protea Hotels to cement relationships with PCOs | The Planner

GMs, marketing and sales executives representing dozens of Protea Hotels and African Pride Hotels will host workshops in Cape Town, Pretoria and Johannesburg this month to engage with their travel trade partners and provide face-to-face networking opportunities.

Danny Bryer, Director of Sales, Marketing & Revenue for both brands, says the National Workshops are entirely focused on disseminating news and cementing relationships with members of the travel trade, PCOs and corporate representatives.

“It’s also a chance to show our trade partners what we’ve been doing in the past year; highlighting refurbishments and expansions at hotel level, and discussing brand developments and innovations so that we can better understand and meet our cleints’ business requirements.

“In addition we use the National Workshops as a platform to introduce our travel trade partners to GMs located in other cities, who may not yet have had the opportunity to meet in person,” says Bryer.

The National Workshops schedule is as follows:

  • 18 July 2014 at African Pride Crystal Towers Hotel & Spa in Cape Town between 9am and 12 noon, and 2pm to 5pm. RSVPs should be directed to allisons@proteahotels.com by July 11.
  • 22 July 2014 at the Pretoria State Theatre between 8.30am and 11.30am, and 1pm and 4pm. RSVPs should be directed to receptionjhb@proteahotels.com by July 16.
  • 24 & 25 July at Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Melrose Arch in Johannesburg between 8.30am and 11.30am, 12.30pm and 3.30pm and 4pm – 7pm on 24 July and between 8.30am and 11.30am and 12.30pm and 3.30pm on 25 July. RSVPs should be directed to receptionjhb@proteahotels.com by July 17.

Bryer has urged members of the travel trade to attend the workshops.

“It’s a chance to discuss business face-to-face and for us to discover how we can offer even better service to our partners in the industry.”
