Europa Organisation Africa launches | The Planner

The international conference specialist, Europa Organisation, has recently launched a division in Africa, Europa Organisation Africa (EOA), under the leadership of Sue McGuinness, who has been involved in the medical events industry for over 25 years.

Founded in France in 1987, Europa Organisation has gained a reputation for the effective management of complex conferences and meetings, particularly in the medical field. Its rise to prominence has been influenced by its seamless execution of these events, and its use of cutting-edge technology to create innovative and interactive learning experiences. EOA’s professional services and expertise will be made available to organisations and associations seeking to conduct ground-breaking conferences and events in South Africa and across the African continent.

Says Europa Organisation chairman, Marc Doncieux, β€œThe launch of EOA is an exciting development in the history of Europa Organisation. With offices already established in France, Singapore and Dubai, we are thrilled to be making our services available to the African market. We believe that, as we assist with the dissemination of knowledge, we will be providing a valuable service across the continent.”

McGuinness, whose experience in the medical and event management industry has earned her a reputation for being one of the best in the business. In addition to her vast experience, McGuinness is known for her efficiency, business and personal ethics, and integrity. She has a track record of successfully co-ordinating high profile meetings, many of which become repeat annual events.

β€œEOA will operate in line with Europa Organisation’s international vision,” says McGuinness. β€œWe are committed to changing the face of conferences by turning them into educational and meaningful experiences.

β€œWe offer a holistic service, one that encompasses every aspect of the conferencing continuum and that is designed to ensure the success of every venture. It is our mission to raise the service, standards, and organisation of medical and non-medical conferences, meetings, symposiums and events in Africa.”

Since launching, EOA has worked closely with a variety of companies, committees and associations. Some of EOA’s current clients include the Critical Care Society of South Africa (CCSSA), the Federation of Infectious Diseases Societies of Southern Africa (FIDSSA) and the South African Heart Association. Forthcoming events include Africa PCR; CCSSA Congress; Nursing Forums, an arm of CCSSA; FIDSSA Congress; SA Heart Congress; and Ventilation through the Ages, in partnership with Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital and the University of the Witwatersrand.
