SAB World of Beer has appointed a new general manager – Tony Rubin as of November 2014.
Rubin moves to SAB with excess of fourty years of hospitality industry experience in the food and beverage sector, business development and in operations and planning.ย Prior to his move to SAB, Rubin was the managing director of Maropeng, the official visitor centre of the Cradle of Humankind.
With Rubin at the helm, Maropeng achieved numerous accolades including โTop Visitor Attraction SAโ in the SA Tourism Welcome Awards and โTop Attraction in Gautengโ in the Lilizela Awards. The Maropeng Conference Centre was also recognised as the โTop Conference Centre in the 4-Star Category in South Africaโ.
Rubin also served The Southern Sun Group for 30 years and in this time was given the CEOโs award for Excellence in People Management.
