South Africa has won more than one award at the annual IMEX Frankfurt 2015 awards. These awards have been developed to recognise individuals and companies who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the meetings and incentive travel industry.
The South African Business Events Industry now boasts three awards for the following:
- The International University Global Challenge Award which went to Anzelle Vorstman from the North West University. Earlier this year she also won the IMEX-MPI-MCI Future Leaders Forum award at Meetings Africa.
- The PCO Award which was awarded to Pieter Swart.
- The DMAI Humanitarian Award which was won by Joburg Tourism.
IMEX Academy Awards and Green Awards are presented annually at the IMEX Gala Dinner in Frankfurt alongside prestigious Industry Awards given by Meeting Professionals International (MPI), Joint Meetings Industry Council (JMIC), Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and Site.
