Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom has scooped a prestigious Diamond Arrow Award in Professional Management Review’s annual survey of business executives and decision makers. This is the second consecutive year that Sibaya has received a Diamond Arrow Award – the highest accolade that can be achieved in the awards programme.
Survey respondents – which included government officials and corporate representatives, including CEOs, business-owners, and directors based in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) – rated Sibaya highly across all indicators in the Casinos and Entertainment Centres in KZN category. Sibaya received an overall rating of 4.25 out of a possible 5.00. The award will be presented to Sibaya’s management team at a special awards function to be hosted in September 2015.
“We are delighted that Sibaya has received the highest accolade, a Diamond Arrow Award, in this respected awards programme for the second year running. That we received such an excellent rating, based on the perceptions of PMR’s professional readership, is a great source of pride.
“The award bears testimony to our employees’ commitment to service excellence, quality, professionalism, and innovation. We will continue to raise the bar to ensure that Sibaya remains a respected corporate citizen, and a premium-rated destination,” says Belinda Jelf, marketing manager at Sibaya.
The awards are the culmination of this research process whereby companies and institutions are rated based on respondents perceptions with a strong focus on evaluating and measuring customer service and customer satisfaction.
In the survey, companies and institutions were rated against the following criteria:
- Companies/institutions that have done most to enhance economic growth and development of the province
- Levels of managerial expertise
- Implementation of corporate governance
- Brand awareness
- Levels of innovation
The purpose of the survey is to celebrate excellence and profile KZN as a growth point, potential investment area and tourism and business destination for local and international investors. It also serves to measure companies, institutions, government entities and individuals on their contribution to economic growth and development of the province.
