Scott LangleyThe 2015 Event Industry Summit aims to unite event industry stakeholders and qualified corporate buyers and provide a platform for industry-related topics to be discussed by the leaders in the industry, ultimately growing the power of the event industry.

Delegates can expect many informative discussion panels with industry experts on a wide range of industry topics. There will be three sessions with each session having a brief scene-setter followed by a panel discussion lead by a seasoned facilitator.

PANEL 1 SPEAKER

Scott Langley is the sales and marketing manager of the Durban International Convention Centre (Durban ICC).
He holds a BCom degree in tourism management from the University of Pretoria and has been involved in the hospitality industry since 1998.

Scott has been lucky enough to live and work in various provinces around the country including Gauteng, the Eastern Cape, Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. Before joining the Durban ICC, he was general manager of a boutique hotel in Cape Town and has held several other marketing management positions in the hospitality industry

The Durban ICC, renowned for its high standards of service excellence, has successfully staged some the world’s most prestigious and complex events. This multi-award winning centre has been voted Africa’s Leading Meetings and Conference Centre by the World Travel Awards no fewer than 14 times since 2001 and has been rated among the world’s top 15 convention centres by The International Association of Congress Centres (AIPC).

This world-class facility offers the largest flat floor, column-free multi-purpose event space in Africa. Incorporating the Durban ICC Arena and Durban  Exhibition Centre, the complex offers clients 112,000m² of flexible exhibition and meeting space.
