Professional Planner Standards are destined to make a major impact within the mosaic-patterned MICE world. The event decision-makers within the corporate and association sector are calling for planner standards as a matter of urgency.
With this background in mind, the first of three briefings for the 2016 Event Industry Summit has taken place this week at the Gardenia Boutique Hotel just off Hyde Park corner.
Selected by the MICE industry, almost 50% of the panelists attended the briefing as to the background and rationale as well as the Summit’s expectations and anticipated outcomes from the panel discussions. The panellists representing both independent planners and a variety of differing venues showed great enthusiasm and with many years of MICE experience were able to add value to the standards going forward.
The next two briefings will take place on 30 September with a number of panelists flying in from Cape Town and Durban respectively.
