Clico Boutique Hotel is embracing summer with the superb and newly built Clico Restaurant, refurbished kitchen as well as guest parking area. These refreshing design changes complement the chic hospitality, intimate function facilities and fine dining as well as delectable wine tasting events on offer and favoured by regular guests year in and year out.
Clico Restaurant is a fresh interpretation of the original Cape Dutch Revival Style gable end, simplified to its bare geometrical essence.
The expanded and updated facilities continue to reflect the intimate, unpretentious ambience, whilst the new 36-seater restaurant meets all the criteria of a boutique establishment: small, cosy, unique and stylish, yet offering the versatile option of a separate 12-seater intimate dining space, generously allowing for natural light through the tall, stack sliding glass doors. The two fire-places make for serene comfort during cooler temperatures.
The delicate lighting, slim horizontal beams and materials, all chosen and designed in the style of antiquated romanticism, lend an elegance and simplicity to the layout.
The new restaurant reflects an industrial edge, offering vistas of the tranquil garden spaces, which brings this well-established small hotel into the midst of the contemporary architectural context of Johannesburg, yet retaining it’s original charm.
Clico Restaurant offers independent access from the original hotel and dining room, resulting in overnight guests never being compromised by diners.
Clico was awarded the coveted Certificate of Excellence for 2014 by TripAdvisor, whilst voted into the top 25 Top Small Hotel as well as Top Luxury Hotel lists in South Africa by TripAdvisor travellers for 2014; the hotel featured in the Eat Out website’s Best of Guide for Johannesburg in 2012, 2013 and 2014 in the Fine Dining category.
