The vibrant Luma Bar and newly-opened Mediterranean restaurant, Bocado, at Sun City’s five-star Cascades Hotel have introduced professional golfer, Louis Oosthuizen’s private collection of wines, Louis 57.
Oosthuizen has personally tasted and carefully selected each wine in the Louis 57 range which is produced by Boschkloof Private Wine Estate, situated just outside Stellenbosch in one of South Africa’s principal red wine producing regions.
“We are proud to present Louis Oosthuizen’s private collection of wines at Bocado. Wine enthusiasts should enjoy exploring the vibrant and versatile wines,” says Bruce McKay,general manager of food and beverage operations at Sun City.
The Louis 57 collection comprises eight exquisite wines:
- Chardonnay – a very light-wooded Chardonnay with lemon flavours, complimented by a soft butter and vanilla aftertaste.
- The Open Championship Syrah – a full-bodied premium red wine with a mix of oriental spices, pepper and fruit flavours.
- The Conclusion – the flagship wine of the collection, a blend matured in new French oak barrels for 24 months.
- Cabernet Sauvignon – a full-bodied red wine, with aromas of cassis and oriental spices, aged for 22 months in French oak barrels.
- Sauvignon Blanc – a balanced wine with delicious passion fruit and gooseberry expressions.
- Pinotage – a great balance of oak and red fruit flavours with good ageing potential.
- Merlot – a medium to full-bodied dark ruby wine with aromas of berry and plum fruits.
- Shiraz – a typical shiraz with aromas of perfumed violets with spicy overtones.
