African_Awards_logoFollowing the success of the inaugural African Responsible Tourism Awards in 2015, its time again to honour Africa’s heroes of responsible tourism. These awards forms part of the prestigious World Responsible Tourism Awards.

 

The organisers, Better Tourism Africa, are looking for the most inspiring and enduring examples of responsible tourism in Africa – those holiday providers, destinations, initiatives and writers who care deeply about travel that benefits communities, travellers and the environment.

Please apply to enter the awards, spread the message among your networks and encourage other tourism organisations to do so.

 

Applications are open in the following eight categories:
*Best accommodation for responsible employment
*Best for beach tourism
*Best contribution to cultural heritage conservation
*Best operator for people with disabilities
*Best for poverty reduction
*Best responsible tourism marketing campaign
*Best for wildlife conservation
*Best for public sector policy/support
