To start off the new year Makuzi Beach Lodge has began upgrading the chalets to a fresh new look.
The chalets will be extended and will have new furniture, a queen-size bed, a larger bathroom and double glass doors leading on to a veranda. The lodge also recently upgraded one standard chalet to a superior chalet. Superior chalets have full bathrooms, a large living space and a mini-bar fridge. By February the lodge will also have two new family chalets. Activities include swimming, snorkelling, fishing and kayaking.
Makuzi Beach Lodge is situated on the lush Northern shores of Lake Malawi. Makuzi is one of Malawi’s only private white sand beaches which provides guests with a superb, secluded retreat and wonderful views across Africa’s third largest fresh water lake.
Makuzi is a family owned business that began in 1992. The lodge is Eco-friendly and was built using local materials. Some refer it to “Paradise”. Makuzi Beach Lodge works hand in hand with the local community which gives guests the opportunity to experience Malawi at its best. The beauty and exclusivity is retained by having eleven individual comfortable en-suite chalets, all with stunning lake views set in perfectly manicured gardens.
