On 9 July 2020, Spier Wine Farm launched its hybrid and virtual conferencing offerings with an evening of fun and entertainment that was attended by both in-person and at-home guests.
The launch showcased the range of virtual event opportunities that are now possible with Spier. Guests were entertained with comedy acts by Alan Committie and Nik Rabinowitz, live music, a virtual Segway tour around Spierโs organic pastures, a demonstration on how to make by pizza by Chef PJ Vadas, an introduction to the art of mosaic, and a chocolate and wine tasting presented by Spier winemaker Anton Swarts. For the tastings, virtual attendees did not miss out in the least, having received a box with Spierโs new canned Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot and artisanal chocolates in advance so they could taste along with everyone else.
