Brussels, Belgium – September 2024 – The International Federation of Exhibition and Event Services (IFES) has appointed Gregor Bischkopf as its new Executive Director, taking over from Uta Goretzky by the end of this year. Bischkopf’s extensive experience in business development within the trade show industry is expected to bring fresh perspectives and enhanced value to the IFES community and its industry partners.
The IFES Executive Board expressed its excitement about Bischkopf’s appointment, noting that his leadership will further support the association’s growth strategy and global collaboration efforts. “Gregor brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will strengthen IFES, and we look forward to his contributions to our global network,” the board commented.
Acknowledging Uta Goretzky’s Contributions
The board also extended its gratitude to outgoing Executive Director Uta Goretzky for her decade of service. During her tenure, Goretzky was instrumental in growing IFES into a global association with over 300 members across more than 43 countries. Her efforts in enhancing IFES’s educational initiatives and flagship events, including the IFES World Summit and the Global Village at EuroShop, have left a lasting impact on the organization.
Goretzky’s leadership also brought financial stability to IFES, positioning the association for continued success as it moves forward under Bischkopf’s direction.
