4Mal scoops BIG win at ATW’s Media Awards | The Planner

4Mal Media Management is thrilled to announce our win in the Tourism News category at this year’s Africa Travel Week Media Awards, which took place in Cape Town on April 9, 2025.

The award was given in recognition of 4Mal’s article in the 2024/25 issue of The Incentive Planner, which sought to highlight the challenges faced by the sector in training and retaining talent.

“This is a big deal for us – not just to spotlight the skills constraints the incentive travel industry is currently grappling with, but to try find a means to address the issue,” commented Shanna Jacobsen, Editor of The Incentive Planner.

Antois-Leigh Nepgen, Publisher and Owner at 4Mal, shared her excitement on the win.

“This recognition is not just a celebration of our work, but a tribute to the passion, creativity, and tireless effort of the remarkable individuals behind our titles. As Owner and Publisher, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside an exceptionally dedicated team that continuously pushes the boundaries of storytelling, innovation, and industry engagement. Together, we have remained committed to showcasing the vibrant and dynamic tourism and business events sectors across Africa, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see that commitment acknowledged on such a prestigious platform.”

The team at 4Mal would like to thank the organisers of Africa Travel Week and the esteemed judging panel for this incredible recognition. Their continued support and celebration of media professionals are key in helping us set and keep raising the bar. To our readers, partners, advertisers, and industry peers – thank you for believing in our vision, trusting our platforms, and walking this journey with us.

This award is a shared achievement and a powerful reminder that great things happen when passionate people come together with purpose. We look forward to the future with renewed inspiration and remain steadfast in our mission to inform, connect, and elevate the travel and MICE industries across the continent.
