2012 EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE CONFERENCE EMBARKING ON NEW HORIZONS | The Planner

This year, the city of Cape Town will play host to the 14th annual Employee Assistance ProfessionalsAssociation of South Africa (EAPA-SA) conference to be held from Tuesday 18 to Friday 21 September 2012 at NH The Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West.

The theme for this years conference is New Horizons, with both local and international speakers presenting on topics such as Managing EAP in the Growing Economy and Handling Depression in the Workplace. This years guest speaker is leading international mental health professional Paul Yin, who will be discussing how companies should deal with the impact of economic changes, using China as a case study.

The EAPA-SA is a branch of EAPA International and specialises in the development and networking of practitioners in the Employee Assistance, Health and Wellness fields.

EAPA-SA, provides leadership to employee assistance professionals, in promoting the national and regional growth and development of EAPs in both the public and private sector workplaces in South Africa. EAPA International represents more than 3500 individuals and organisations with an interest in employee assistance across 40 countries.

EAPA-SAs annual national conference is one of the highlights of the professional calendar and is essential for all in the EAP and wellness industry to attend. Renowned US speakers Dee Anna Merz Nagal and Kate Anthony will be hosting a webinar on Online Therapy. This will allow guests at the conference to attend these discussions in the virtual environment by providing a chat room for questions and answers.
