OurAfrica.Travel, a virtual meeting platform which successfully launched in 2020, will be back in 2021 to once again offer the travel trade a safe and affordable Africa-focussed travel show. The show will run from 1 to 12 March 2021 across two time-zones to help bring ‘Africa to the globe’ through pre-scheduled, one-on-one, face-to-face virtual meetings.
The event is led by industry experts Allie Hunt and Storm Napier. Napier says, “In 2020 we had no less than 321 exhibitors and 1 199 buyers who connected virtually in just under 21 000 virtual meetings. The feedback has been phenomenal and by popular demand, we are delighted to bring the show back in 2021 and look forward to growing it even further.”

The quality of exhibitors and global buyers at the 2020 event was high, including brands such as Escape & Explore, Wilderness Safaris, Triumph Travel, Singita and Red Carnation Hotels, and buyers such as Private Safaris Switzerland, Swain Destinations and Swagman, Virtuoso agents, FTI Touristik, Lusso and The Africa Adventure Company.
OurAfrica.Travel 2021 will be presented in partnership with ATTA (Africa Travel & Tourism Association) on the following dates:
Europe, Africa, Asia & Oceania: 1-5 March, from 04h00-19h00 CAT
Americas: 8-12 March, from 10h00-23h00 CAT
The show will take on the same format as it did this year, with the addition of a more extensive Indian Ocean section to include participants from Zanzibar, Mauritius, Seychelles, Reunion, Comores and Maldives.
Hunt admits that she did not expect to need to arrange another OurAfrica.Travel virtual show, but the current circumstances make it a smart choice for those in the industry to continue doing business. “We are ready to show the world that Africa is truly the most diverse and rewarding travel destination one can ever explore,” she adds.
An Early Bird rate is available for bookings made until 24 December 2020 of R3 200 per person per diary/calendar, which will go up from 25 December 2020 to R3 600 per person per diary/calendar.
