Eat your dinner in the sky | The Planner

Sky Events will be taking 22 diners up 40m in the sky at a time, for the next few months at the Fairway Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort. With a wonderful 360 degree view of the Randpark Golf Course greenery, guests will enjoy either breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks, prepared by the executive chef and his excellent team.

Sky Events and award-winning chef Jean-Piere Siegenthaler’s menus for the airborne guests are mouth-watering and include taste bud treats such as baby potato and goats cheese terrine, duck leg confit, topped with forest mushrooms and cappuccino cheese cake.

Wine orders are taken prior to “take-off” and all guests are securely strapped in. “Safety is our major priority,” said Hilary Elmira, owner of Sky Events. “German TÜV certification norms have been adhered to – the toughest safety certification in the world. Everything, from the seatbelts to the crane, was conceived with an obsessive attention to detail as far as safety is concerned.”

Breakfast is available at R320pp, lunch at R395pp and dinner at R590pp.  For those who have limited time on their hands, a 30-minute sky lift with a snack menu is available at R220pp.

Corporations and their executive teams are encouraged to use this opportunity to reward staff after a conference, or even as a year-end function, closer to the end of the year.

Booking for the Sky Dining experience can be made on the Computicket website and Hilary is available on hilary@sky-events.co.za for further information.

Booking is absolutely essential due to the limited numbers available. Detailed packages and prices are available on the specials page of www.thefairway.co.za.
