Remodel at Protea Hotel Mossel Bay | The Planner

The Protea Hotel Mossel Bay has recently remodelled eight rooms, upgrading them from family rooms to Deluxe rooms with modern and international trends and finishings.

The eight rooms have been part of the hotel since it opened as a guest house 25 years ago and now each boast a king-size bed that can be split into two twin beds.

The furnishings feature intricate woodwork and all furniture was sourced and produced locally in nearby George.

The hotel also has 15 Manor Rooms, 7 Harbour Suites and 1 Presidential suite. The 8 Deluxe additional rooms gives the hotel a total of 31 units.

“The new rooms will appeal to a range of travellers, domestic and international, whether they are travelling for leisure or for business,” said owner JJ Moorcroft.

Protea Hotel Mossel Bay’s next project is to improve the sundeck at the Blue Oyster Bar and to upgrade the Presidential Suite to full five-star standard.
