Women in MICE awards: A full house | The Planner

In the latter part of the 2014 second quarter the idea of a MICE women’s awards was mooted by the Meetings editor Martin Hiller.

The Academy made it abundantly clear that the chances of a women’s awards event even in the women’s month of August was an outlandish suggestion, unlikely to see the light of day.

The first Women in MICE awards proved a resounding success.

However, the serious proof of success is the popularity of the 2015 Women in MICE awards.

With a month to go, the invitation take-up has been so popular that further seats – far exceeding the cut-off of 110 – has had to be made.

Plans have been shared with the Academy and the Women in MICE awards 2015 promises to be bigger and better than the inaugural ‘mere idea’ for an award by the Meetings editor. Well done Martin!
