The recently opened Ballito Exhibition and Events Centre which opened a few weeks ago in Ballito, plays host to its first National Conference from this weekend onwards. The centre which is now the largest of its kind from Umhlanga Rocks to Richards’s Bay, will see a few hundred delegates descend on the town taking up accommodation in a number of hotels, guest houses and smaller establishments as well as conferencing in the centre itself.
The national Indoni Legotla will be housed at the Exhibition Centre from Friday through to Sunday and is expected to attract delegates from all around South Africa.
“The Exhibition, Conference and events centre is ideal for this type of events” says Mark Enslin, the centres General Manager. “Its multi-functional spaces allow us to create spaces in the venue which organisers request and we able to meet both conferencing and exhibitions requirements at the same time.”
The centre is able to hosting banquets for up to 400 guests and conferences for up to 600 delegates. The 1000sqm exhibition space with permanent collapsible shells is ideal for regional and company exhibitions at a fraction of the price charged at other centres.
“To date the interest from various companies and private individuals has exceeded our expectations and we look forward to hosting numerous national events in the months to come,” says Lerina McCall, Executive Director of African Insignia Hotels, the company mandated to sell and market the centre.
