Sky launches Themed Dinner Evenings with Entertainment | The Planner

Durban’s spectacular multipurpose venue, SKY, has launched a scintillating calendar of culinary themed evenings with pizzaz scheduled to kick off later this month.

Guests will be given the privilege of enjoying the bright lights of Vegas without leaving Durban as we take them on the glitzy journey inspired by the thrills, lights, glamour, excitement but above all the money – this is Las Vegas at SKY!

The magical themed- dinner evenings are aimed to mystify and captivate those daring enough to indulge in the decadence of combining exquisite tastes with enchanting entertainment. Expect to be tantalized by the talent and mesmerized by the memories you will be sure to take home with you.

The evening unfolds as soon as you set foot in the hotel where you would be greeted and welcomed by exquisitely costumed showgirls who will whisk you to the 31st floor where the breath-taking venue on top of the Maharani tower awaits.

Southern Sun Elangeni & Maharani complex executive chef, Shaun Munro who is known for his mastery in the kitchen will tantalise your taste-buds with a delectable dinner.

No other icon epitomizes Las Vegas like the showgirl. The evening reaches a climax when rhinestones, feathers and showgirls make for a cherished entertainment tradition in true Vegas style.

And just when you thought you had enough… Durban Afro-Caribbean band Manteca takes to the stage. The authentic Afro-Cuban Salsa ensemble, complete with its very own fiery Cuban dance instructor is set to get Durbanites on their feet and dance the night away – high in the sky!

SKY“As the Destination Complex in Durban, we are pleased to offer yet another unique experience. We have taken what we are well-known for in Durban – great food, prepared by a World-Class Executive Chef Shaun Munro, combined that with a great location – Durban’s beachfront, at a unique venue Sky Venue @ Maharani to bring you dinner with a difference – dinner and entertainment, themed dinner, supper club,” says complex general manager, Samantha Croft.

She added that with not many places for the “old faithful’s’” of Raffles to frequent, this provided them with the ideal opportunity to enjoy dinner and entertainment in their old “haunt”.

Dates: From 30 April – 3 May 2014. Cost: R350 per person. Stay over for only R1500 and enjoy the comfort and style of a double room including themed dinner, bed & breakfast.
