The City of Johannesburg Department of Transport plans to host a month long Eco-mobility Festival during October 2015. To celebrate October being Transport Month, the festival aims at promoting the use of alternative transport modes.
The department has already started engagements with various stakeholders including EXSA. The planned site for the festival is Sandton and it will require several road closures to discourage vehicle usage during this period.
