MICE continues to grow despite digital age ‘merge’ | The Planner

“The virtual age needs face to face events and experiences more than ever” says a recent panel of communication and media experts from the UK’s Financial Times and Ernst & Young in an article titled Events still necessary in digital age, say comms experts.

In fact, the more technical wizardry available to us humans, the more we need to interact with each other. It is certain however that the quality of the MICE interactions will be at a higher level as delegations are better informed on the particular topics under review.

The digital age has its most distinct place in ensuring the logistical tasks are far easier, faster and more accurate. Yet in viewing the conceptual aspects of a MICE gathering, in the words of Mandy Sharp of PR Agency Tin Man Communications “PR and event professionals need to ensure the content is creative and relevant to up their return on investment.
