In their quest to bring innovative and exciting events to the Western Cape, the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) has acquired new events including African Waste Business Conference and Exhibition, SA Health and Fitness Expo, MUDL Live, Cape Town Art Fair and the Cape Retirement and Lifestyle Expo, in addition to the already impressive plethora of shows hosted at the centre.
“The acquisition of these events is testament to the centre’s mission to maximise economic spin off for the region, contribute to the development of the knowledge economy and bolster job creation while at the same time focusing on service excellence to exceed our patron’s expectations,” says Julie-May Ellingson, CTICC chief executive officer.
Next month delegates and patrons can look forward to two event firsts at the CTICC. The thought provoking African Waste Business Conference and Exhibition runs from 1 to 4 September. The event will showcase the significant business potential that Africa’s waste streams can create; focusing on polices, practical industry initiatives, project creation and growth, public-private partnerships, economic development in the waste industry and job creation.
The second new acquisition is for fitness enthusiasts – the SA Health and Fitness Expo will take place from 18 to 20 September, and is not to be missed. The expo will showcase products and services in the fields of health, fitness, wellness and sport promotion. The show promises to cater to a range of visitors from fitness-fanatics to the general public of all age groups.
Additional new events secured at the CTICC include the Liquor and Lifestyle exhibition, MUDL Live – this is the only exhibition of its kind in South Africa and takes place in November; the Cape Town Art Fair and the Cape Retirement & Lifestyle Expo are both on the cards for early next year. We are particularly committed to hosting events that are sustainable, and have what it takes in terms of longevity.
