Despite the disruption that COVID-19 has caused South African event industry businesses, some of them are still finding ways to support charities and help in the fight against the pandemic.
Scan Display recently partnered with Zimstone to provide a range of branded portable outdoor display equipment for PinkDrive, to boost their marketing efforts during roadshows, open days and fundraising activities.
PinkDrive has also helped in the fight against COVID-19 by adding testing for the virus to its services.
PinkDrive is a non-profit organisation that raises awareness about gender-related cancers and helps with the early detection of these diseases so that better treatment outcomes are possible. They do this by taking their mobile screening units all over the country, especially to towns and rural areas that have limited access to healthcare. During the last few months, PinkDrive has also helped in the fight against COVID-19 by adding testing for the virus to its services.
Zimstone provided durable, lightweight display hardware that is made from recycled materials and is recyclable. Scan Display’s print division, Scan Print, designed and printed the fabric branding for the hardware. The display items donated included a gazebo, parasol, telescopic cluster flag, flag fountain, sharkfin flag, pop-open and A-frame.
Scan Display has supported PinkDrive for many years, creating eye-catching displays for their activations at events such as the Two Oceans Marathon and 94.7 Cycle Challenge.
Scan Display’s Managing Director, Justin Hawes, says: “It was good to be able to support PinkDrive, especially during October which was Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They play a very important role in the fight against cancer.”
