Groote Post will once again be hosting their monthly country market, on Sunday 28 February from 10 am to 3 pm.
Guests can expect a wide range of delectable and beautiful country offerings (some old favourites and some new) including a super selection of local Darling gourmet produce.
Groote Post’s well-loved wines will be available for tasting and purchase, including the delicious Groote Post Rosé which is made exclusively for the monthly markets.After browsing through the market, visitors can relax in the shade under the trees while tucking into their delicious eats from the market. Local band Klassik will be performing live, delighting all with their irresistible foot-tapping music popularly known as the Swartland Shuffle.
As always the market will present a perfect playground for children who will love the rolling lawns, tractor rides and face painting, to name a few of the activities that will be available.Groote Post’s award-winning restaurant, Hilda’s Kitchen, will be open as usual, but please note that booking is essential.
Although pets are most welcome – all dogs must be on a leash at all times. Visitors arriving without their dogs on a leash will be given an option to buy one from the SPCA stall or hire one at the information stall.The Groote Post Country Markets take place on the last Sunday of every month between 10am and 3pm and the dates for the markets for the rest of this season are 27 March and 24 April. The markets are closed over winter and start again in August.
