Fairway Hotel shows support for towards cancer awareness | The Planner

If you are traveling on Republic Road, heading towards the Fairway Hotel & Golf Resort at Randpark Golf Course, a vision of pink tree trunks will be marking the way to the hotel entrance. In support of Breast Cancer awareness month, The Fairway Hotel & Golf Resort in conjunction with Estee Lauder and Die Dameskring, launched The Pink Tree project on Friday 11 October.

Miss Junior Africa, Wendy van Rensburg and Susan Giles, Breast Cancer Survivor were special guests and joined the guests in wrapping trees after enjoying a light breakfast at the Fairway Hotel. The morning was concluded with refreshments at Roundabout bar while being entertained by the soothing sounds of the piano. The pink fabric used for wrapping the trees was sponsored by Estee Lauder.

“One of the main reason we got involved in this great initiative was to show our support towards cancer awareness while welcoming new corporate accounts to The Fairway Hotel. At The Fairway we pride ourselves in being actively involved in community projects throughout the year and by being involved in The Pink Tree project, we are honoured to have helped raise awareness for Breast cancer,” says Francois Joubert, Sales  Manager for The Fairway Hotel & Golf Resort.

Corporates attending the day included representatives from Toyota, Barclays, FNB, Nedbank, Standard Bank, JP Morgan, Nissan, Sasol and Estee Lauder.
