EXSA GM MOVES ON | The Planner

EXSA (Exhibition and Event Association of Southern Africa) has announced that Phumulani Hlatshwayo has officially resigned from his role as General Manager as he moves on to explore other opportunities. Hlatshwayo, has accomplished many successes since joining EXSA in May 2016, and will be missed.

With over 12 years in providing leadership and management to various businesses, he has brought a wealth of experience to EXSA. He has used his knowledge in Marketing and Brand Management, Event Management, Procurement and Sponsorship Acquisition as well as Management to assist EXSA in developing a new strategy to increase its effectiveness as well as drive membership value across all of its forums.

Under Hlatshwayo’s management, EXSA has finalised its overall strategy and undergone rebranding. It has also appointed a Public Relations and Communications Agency, hosted two successful Global Exhibition Day events and collaborated with AAXO to host a 2016 Awards Dinner. EXSA recently had its 37th annual Conference and the association has increased its membership by 25 new members in the last 12 months.

“It has been an absolute pleasure guiding the growth and dynamism of EXSA, but it’s unfortunately time for me to go in a new direction. I’d like to thank everyone who has made this journey such a success,” Hlatshwayo says.

EXSA wishes Hlatshwayo well with his new  venture.
