The International Tourism and Investment Summit (ITIC Ltd) and World Travel Market Africa (WTM Africa) have announced a strategic alliance to bolster growth in travel and tourism. This will be done through a virtual Africa Tourism Investment Summit, with the overall theme of ‘Africa: Post Covid-19 Investment Opportunities in Sustainable Tourism’, and which aims to share new products, market destinations and facilitate and encourage investment in sustainable development and infrastructure. The Summit will be hosted as part of the Africa Travel Week programme (7-9 April), followed by a second virtual event on 24 June 2021.
In addition, Africa Tourism Investment Summit and ITIC will host a deal room at the in-person Africa Travel Week Connect in the City, which will run from 1- 3 September in Cape Town. Project owners, investors and financiers will have the opportunity to meet in-person with selected participants to showcase their development projects and funding requirements to prospective funders.
