SASCOCย is South Africaโs national multi-coded sporting body responsible for the preparation, presentation, and performance of teams to all multi-coded events, namely the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World Games, All Africa Games, Olympic Youth Games, Commonwealth Youth Games and Zone VI Games.
SASCOC has joined the 2015 Sports and Events Tourism Exchange as a Conference Partner and will be part of the debates around growing Sports and Events Tourism in South Africa and preparing for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

It is of paramount importance that government, private sector and sporting bodies come together to support the growth on our continent of sporting events. This year will feature, amongst others, discussions on the 2022 Commonwealth Games and the next seven years planning, to ensure another successful mega event, another first for Africaโ says chief executive of SASCOC, Tubby Reddy.
SASCOC will also make it possible for 20 local sport federations to attend theย Sports and Events Tourism Exchange Conference, taking place on the 28th & 29th October 2015, at the Protea Hotel Fire and Ice! Menlyn, in the City of Tshwane.

SETE 2015 will also feature a host of international and local speakers and plenary sessions, discussing topics such as Golf Tourism in South Africa, linkages of School Sports Development and growing Domestic Tourism, international marketing trends of events and many more.
The annual Sports and Events Tourism Exchange is the only event of its kind in Africa and provides a platform that brings together businesses from the Sports, Events & Tourism industries, and encourages collaboration between these sectors, consisting of a two-day conference, table top exhibition and networking events.
