Cape Milner Hotel to undergo a refurbishment | The Planner

Cape Milner Hotel is delighted to announce the commencement of a substantial refurbishment on 1 May. The objective of the this exercise is to entirely reinvent the 57 bedroom boutique hotel to offer discerning guests a more luxurious and modern experience.

The refurbishment will encompass, among others, the redesign of the terrace, public areas and restaurant building as well as the complete redesign of all the standard bathrooms. All the luxury rooms as well as standard rooms were entirely redesigned two years ago. The project is expected to be completed by late July and plans are underway to close the hotel during the initial 60 days so as to ensure that guests are not disturbed by noise levels during refurbishment.

The scope of this refurbishment involves the bathrooms having an entirely new look – tiling, fittings, flooring, baths, showers and lighting. The overall result will be a modern contemporary look and feel to the bathroom that is in keeping with the ambience created in our gorgeous bedrooms. The terrace area, which has always been a great attraction for The Cape Milner, will now boast a new skylight roof, enclosed luxury lounge and exclusive bar area. This lounge will now allow for all weather functions and exclusive dining. Our current restaurant will be revamped with new floors and many additional new features.

“The considerable multi-million rand investment of this project comes at opportune time as we see an upturn in our business to Cape Town. The Cape Milner prides itself on being a leader in the luxury boutique hotel environment and the refashioning of the bathrooms will further raise the high standards of the property” commented Jaishankar Ramchandran, CEO of the Group.

Recently appointed General Manager Jeremy Flowerday added that this refurbishment project would easily position The Cape Milner as one of the top quality boutique hotels in the country.

The Cape Milner would like to take the opportunity of apologising in advance for possibly not being able to accommodate your business during this period. However, the hotel is looking forward to welcoming your guests to a brand new product upon completion of the refurbishment.
